Gallery #9
The original space of this colonial style home was a
cramped galley kitchen that lacked storage and was
cut off from the other living areas of the house.
The homeowners wanted a space that was
multi-functional, aesthetically pleasing,
comfortable and connected to the rest of their
home.
The solution included a multifunctional island,
incorporating a cooktop, seating, loads of storage,
and a workstation. To accommodate this, the area
was gutted and totally reconfigured, and a coat
closet, small butler’s pantry, and large floor to
ceiling pull out pantry, greatly increased the
functionality of the space.
The new Plain &
Fancy custom cabinets were painted in soft white and
taupe enamel. Other features include: custom
handmade crackle glazed tile on the backsplash, new
hardwood flooring in a rich, dark stained red oak,
and countertops in a combination of granite and
engineered stone in rich earthy tones. |
